Take a walk down market street with us. Again.
The first thing you'll notice is a new, live structure that has turbines that move with the wind. You slow down, and as you get closer, you'll notice that people have left messages on the chalkboards. The two L-shaped walls stand kitty-corner to one another, creating a space for people to mingle, catch up with a friend over coffee, or just sit and watch people go by. (PS: If you're in need of an outlet, you're in luck-- you'll be able to charge your phone or laptop in our solar-and-wind powered corners.)
Each element of this "nook" is intended to reflect the insights that drove our design process. The turbines and chalkboards capture the wind and human energy that power Market Street on a daily basis. Moreover, they provide a constant source of wonder for people who walk down Market Street, and foster a sense of community with people who walk by, people who leave a message, or people who linger for a little longer.
We hope that you'll RSVP to our invitation to Market Street, SF.
